Fabric Organizing

Looking for ideas for storing fabrics?  I found this great link you may find helpful...

When you check out the link above, don't forget to explore their links which are noted under each photo!

There is even a free download here so you will have a handy reference for the fabrics you have...

My experience with fabric storage is that it is an ongoing challenge to keep whatever system you use orderly as you work on projects.  I am always looking for new ideas.  I think my favorite of the craft gossip group is the one used to organize scraps by color using separate jars/containers.  Being a crazy quilter I can see me using those leftover scraps!

What are some of your favorite ideas?

Yay! You're back!! I missed you. My fabric organization isn't at all classed as being 'organized' I don't think. I have several plastic three-drawer units and each drawer holds a colour. Every once in awhile I have a clean-up fit (not very often, thankfully!) and take each drawer and fold everything neatly. Then I undertake a crazy quilt project and it gets pawed through and ends up being a scrunchy jumbled up mess. We won't discuss the pile of white fabrics that are stuffed in a corner on the floor - no, we won't.

Hi Ma! I am back. I'll try to be better. I've been working on genealogy which is very time consuming. It seems I am always organizing. So good to hear from you and know I haven't been abandoned. Just a heads up though, I have my annual trip to Colorado and a week of Ragbrai coming up in July.
